The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair returns to Toronto's Exhibition Place from Nov. 6 to 15 for its 104th year, with 10 days of agriculture, equestrian sport, food and family entertainment. 12

Meet Sugar and Spice

This year's ambassadors are Sugar and Spice, two-year-old twin Angora goats owned by longtime Royal exhibitor Becky Vissers. They made their Royal debut last year in the Youth Goat Show and Goat Education Centre. 1

The twins may look identical, but the fair says their personalities are not: Spice is calm and easygoing, while Sugar brings plenty of spirited energy to the ring. They will welcome visitors on all 10 days. 1

“We're thrilled to introduce Sugar & Spice as The Royal's 2026 Ambassadors and welcome them - and thousands of visitors - to Exhibition Place this November,” said Cyrus Cooper, the fair's chief executive officer. 1

Horses, rodeo and butter

The Royal Horse Show returns with international jumping, including the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Toronto, plus K9 Equine Pole Bending and a Chinese lion dance celebrating the Year of the Horse. 1

Sunday, Nov. 15, is Western Day, when Amber Marshall, star of CBC's Heartland, emcees the Royal Rodeo qualifier and finals. Rodeo performances are scheduled at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with bull, saddle bronc and bareback riders, barrel racers and pole benders. 12

Miniature ponies will race mini chuckwagons around the Coliseum, and visitors can watch an artist carve a sculpture out of butter at the Gay Lea display. The final Sunday also brings the Royal Square Dancing Competition. 12

For families

Visitors can feed animals at the Royal Petting Farm, watch daily sheep-shearing demonstrations, see border collies herding sheep and the SuperDogs at the Animal Theatre, and get a close look at dairy cow care and milking at the Dairy Education Centre. 12

The newly expanded Holiday Market offers handmade artisan goods and seasonal treats, and St. Nick will be there for photos from Nov. 12 to 15. 1

Daily cooking classes at the Chef's Table are led by chefs including Jeremy Austin of The Pine and Rafael Covarrubias of 20 Victoria. 1

Hours and tickets

The fair's website lists hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. Tickets are on sale at royalfair.org. 12
