Canucks score three late, win in OT to snap 10-game losing streak
Jonathan Lekkerimaki scored twice in 49 seconds with the net empty before Filip Hronek won it on a 5-on-3 power play.

ANAHEIM, Calif. —
The Vancouver Canucks scored three times in the last eight minutes of regulation and beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-5 in overtime at Honda Center on Tuesday night, ending a 10-game losing streak. 1
Filip Hronek won it with a one-timer on a 5-on-3 power play with 11 seconds left in overtime. Vancouver had gone 0-9-1 during the slide and improved to 3-10-1. 1
“When you string together as many losses as we have, it bleeds into the room and the morale takes a hit,” Canucks coach Manny Malhotra said. “Not just getting a win, but a big come-from-behind win in the third (period), is obviously something we can build off of.” 1
Two goals in 49 seconds
Anaheim led 5-2 after A.J. Greer tipped in a point shot from Sam Colangelo at 12:23 of the third period, 43 seconds after Brock Boeser scored when the puck bounced in off his chest. 1
Jamie Oleksiak cut the deficit to 5-3 with a slap shot at 12:54. With goaltender Leevi Merilainen pulled for an extra skater, Jonathan Lekkerimaki then scored at 17:14 and again at 18:03, the second on a shot through a screen from above the left circle. 1
“He's elite in terms of his ability to get it off and pick corners,” Malhotra said of Lekkerimaki. 1
Boeser finished with a goal and two assists, Elias Pettersson had two assists and Merilainen made 18 saves. “I'm hoping this turns a corner for us,” Boeser said. 1
Ducks let a lead slip
Greer scored twice for Anaheim, the first when his attempted pass went in off Hronek's stick in the first period. Leo Carlsson and Jeff Malott each had a goal and an assist, Jackson LaCombe had three assists and Lukas Dostal made 27 saves. 1
The Ducks (5-6-1) have lost six of their past seven games. “That can't happen,” captain Mikael Granlund said of the blown lead. “It's unacceptable and we've got to do a better job closing out these games.” 1
Coach Joel Quenneville called it “a terrible loss” and said his team should have sealed the win at 5-2. “We carelessly make plays senselessly,” he said. 1
Vancouver is 9-2-0 in its past 11 games against Anaheim. Carlsson's goal was the 65th of his NHL career, the second-most by a Swedish player before age 22 behind Mats Sundin's 83. 1
